What is the Anime Zone Japan online Shop?

This shop was born as an idea to bring anime figures exclusively sold in Japan, mainly to Mexico, Middle East and Latin American countries. This is because there is a great demand for specialized Japanese anime figures which cannot be acquired easily outside Japan or are very difficult to arrive to different countries. 

The continued demand of figures from friend and family, as well as multiple trial and error attempts to start business from Japan to Mexico, it was easier and more productive to send Japanese products to the world. 

Our goal is to provide you with access to a wide variety of unique and exclusive products that are not always available online. We work closely with local stores and sellers who trust our platform to bring their products to the international market.

Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are based on actual product weights or dimensions. Dimensional weight reflects how much space a package takes in a truck or plane.

Shipping fees for in stock items: The shipping fees displayed during checkout for in stock items are the actual rates you will pay. The rates do not include any taxes, duties, or customs fees that may be assessed by the destination country. Please note that some items, due to their size or weight, will require a custom shipping quote at the time of shipment. This will be explicitly stated in the items’ description.

Shipping fee estimates for pre-orders: Shipping fees for pre-ordered items are estimates not the actual amount you will be charged for shipping. The exact product weight or product dimensions are not always known at the time we list a product for pre-order. If you are pre-ordering a single item an estimated shipping fee is displayed. If you are pre-ordering more than one item the base fee and the price per pound that is charged for each shipment is shown. We cannot be certain which items will arrive together so a more accurate shipping estimate cannot be given. We recommend to ship items together and save money on shipping. Usually one standard figure weights on average +- 250 grams. 

What shipping methods are available and what is the time difference?

Shipping methods vary depending on the destination country. Here we present some options:

  • EMS (Express Mail Service): It is the express mail service, very common and safe. Shipping time is approximately 10-15 days. Please note that during times of high demand, Christmas and New Year, shipping times may be longer.
  • ePacket: It is another postal service, but the shipping time is approximately 3 weeks. It is the most economical service and only applies to small packages and boxes that do not exceed the size of 80 cm and 2 kg.
  • DHL (private service): Shipping time is 5 to 10 business days. Please note that customs clearance fees may apply, depending on each country. Additionally, DHL may charge extra if the destination address is considered remote. The additional amount is usually around 3,800 yen.
  • Yamato UPS: Shipping time is approximately 10 to 15 days. It is important to mention that this method requires opening the boxes for inspection, and the figures are not assembled. Not all countries can apply this method, for example, for Argentina you can only send new figures and not second-hand ones, and you can only send them from company to company. For some countries, the customs clearance fee is 39 USD, as in the case of Peru.
  • Ship/Surface: This is the slowest method as shipping time is approximately 3 months.

Please note that these dates are for reference only, and Anime Zone is not responsible for any delays in different shipping methods.

Before making payment on our website, you can easily calculate the shipping cost. Just choose a product, add it to the shopping cart, select your country and update the cart. There you will see all the shipping options available for your country. If any of the methods do not show a price, it means that it does not apply to that particular product.

Attention for shipments by DHL: There are postal codes classified as “REMOTE DELIVERY AREA” by DHL. This means that to deliver your package to that area, additional charges apply depending on the shipping company's policies. If your zip code is classified in those areas, we will let you know before shipping your order.

Does the price on the page include shipping?

The shipping cost is calculated in the shopping cart. You just have to enter your country and you will see the shipping options and methods available to you.

If a price does not appear in the shipping method, it means that that product does not apply to that particular method. For example, there are figures that are very large and cannot be sent by SMALL PACKAGE, so it will not show the price in that case.

What are the payment options?

You can pay with PayPal or with a credit and debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Dinners, JCB and Discover. At the moment, we do not accept transfers to bank accounts.

If you choose PayPal as your payment method, make sure the PayPal confirmed address is the same as your shipping address. In this case, we will send the package in the name of the PayPal holder.

If you choose to pay by credit or debit card, in some cases we may request additional information to verify the identity of the cardholder and protect it. We could ask for a photo ID, a utility bill (electricity, water, etc.) confirming the address, and also some social networks of the client.

If you do not provide this information when we request it, unfortunately, we will have to cancel the order and return the money to your card, subtracting the amount of bank fees.

Which method is the safest? I don't want my box to get any scratches.

We would love to be able to control all the logistics from the moment a package leaves Tokyo to your home. Unfortunately, there is no 100% secure shipping method, since we cannot control the handling of the merchandise by the transport companies. We cannot be held responsible for any mistreatment or loss that packages may suffer during shipping.

 

Am I looking for figures with the box in “perfect condition”?

It is important to understand that there is no such thing as a box in “perfect condition”, at least we cannot guarantee it in all cases. The figure boxes may have some imperfections due to the shipping and handling process of sellers and stores in Japan. However, we try to ensure that the figures are in good condition and adequately protected for transport.

Can I buy the figures seen in the videos?

Of course! All figures displayed in stores during our live streams are available for purchase. Our goal is to give you direct access to these incredible collectible figures.  We add a % commission for our service after tax and it depends on the price of the figure.  

Generally, sticker prices are without tax. For example, if you see a product that costs ¥20,000, the final price for you pay would be ¥26,400 (including 10% tax and 20% commission).

To make the purchase, we will send you a payment order through Paypal. Once we receive confirmation of your payment, we will proceed to purchase the figure from the store and manage the shipping.

It is important to note that the shipping cost is not included in the price of the figure. We will provide you with a shipping quote after you have made your purchase. Once the shipping cost has been calculated, we will send you an additional payment order to cover this amount.

During a live stream, or facebook post, I will be around the stores for approximately 30 minutes. During this time, I can make figure purchases for those who are interested.

If you would like to place an order the day after the stream or if you are interested in a figure that was shown in a past stream, we cannot guarantee that the figure will be available in the store. In these cases, an additional transportation cost to the store will apply. If the store is located in Tokyo, the additional charge will be 500 yen. In this situation, we can send you the payment order through Paypal or credit card to make the purchase.

Can you order figures that are not on the page or in the stores you visit?

Yes, You can place orders, but keep in mind that the time to find a figure can vary, it can be from the same day to up to six months, especially if the figure is difficult to find.

The commission for orders is 30% more than the price after tax. This applies only if the store is located in central TOKYO. If the store is in another city, the transportation price will also be added.

Once we find the figure you are looking for, we will send you the final amount so you can pay it through PayPal. It is important to make the payment immediately.

The shipping cost will be calculated once we have purchased the product. We will then send you another PayPal payment order to cover the shipping cost. Once we receive the shipping payment, we will proceed to ship the package.

Remember that we only make orders for NEW and UNOPENED figures. We do not accept orders for open or used figures, since we cannot verify their condition. Therefore, to avoid problems, we only handle new and unopened figures.

Please provide all details of the figure you are looking for, including a photo if possible. We would appreciate it if the order does not exceed two figures, since we handle small retail orders.

Once we receive your message, we ask for 2 weeks to respond about the price. If for some reason we do not respond to you within that time, don't worry, it may be due to work issues, but we are always here to help you.

Can you save the figure for me until I find another one?

We can save the figure for you, but only for a maximum of 15 days. If it has not been picked up after that time, a storage fee of 1000 yen per day will be charged.

Can figures be combined to be sent in a single box?

Yes, from the first purchase, we can combine several figures to send them in a single box. This way you save on shipping costs.

I would like to order you figures in a bag, is that possible?

The best way to purchase bagged figures is during our exciting live streams. During these broadcasts, you have the opportunity to request and order the figures you want. After the broadcast or facebook post, we also offer an additional 30-minute window for you to place your orders.

Remember that the availability of figures in a bag may vary, as it depends on supply and demand in stores. Do you do proxy services to buy from other pages in Japan?

Yes! We offer an exclusive proxy service for our members. If there are any products you want to buy from other sites in Japan, just send us the product URL and we will provide you with this special service.

To calculate the cost, we will add 20% to the final price, after taxes and internal shipping (note that some stores charge national internal shipping). 

Once the product arrives at our offices, we will weigh and measure it to calculate the shipping cost to the destination country. I just placed my order on your page, what's next?

Thank you for your order! The shipping process from Japan may take 7-10 business days. Not counting Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.

We generally ship on Wednesdays and Fridays. We will send you a shipping confirmation email. Remember to check your spam folder, sometimes our messages can get there.

In case of any delay or problem with the shipment, we will contact you by mail or telephone. It is important that you provide us with your telephone number, preferably through WhatsApp, for any emergency.

Do I have to pay taxes in my country?

Import taxes vary depending on the destination country. We provide a list here for your reference, but we recommend that you verify this information with your country's customs authorities before purchasing to ensure you are aware of all applicable fees.

It is the buyer's responsibility to do all necessary research and pay all applicable fees in their country.

What is the page's return policy?

In the buying and selling stores of Japan. There are no returns or exchanges. For those who have doubts about buying second-hand products online, you are kindly asked to refrain from making purchases.

When they are new figures, if there is a manufacturer's fault, you have to speak directly with the manufacturing company and contact them.
